Homemade Appliques for Onesies

Rachelle's Sister-In-Law Audra, who just happens to be my best friend is due in about 4 weeks with twins (boy and girl). So I've been looking for creative things I could send that won't break the bank. After searching through numerous blogs I came across this idea.

Heat N' Bond did the trick for actually sticking the appliques to the shirts and then I stitched around the edges. Tricky for me because of the small space to work with on the newborn onesies. I'm happy enough with my first attempts. I added a little random orange elastic ruffle that I had laying around and turned the one into a tutu style for her little princess.
I know Rachelle has a boat load of cute stuff to show off soon. Is your camera up and going yet, sissy?

Hello Blog World

Okay, so it is my turn to introduce myself, I am Rachelle, the other half of A N' O Sisters.
I am the younger sister, the louder sister and the overall crazier sister. Now don't get me wrong, Andrea does have a crazy side, it just doesn't come out too often.

As Andrea mentioned in her post, we live thousands of miles apart and we don't get to spend a lot of time together (she never visits me) so we figured that blogging could be one more way to try and intertwine our lives. We both have kids and we both love all the boutique style clothes/hair bows/toys but we don't always like the prices. I love to sew and I love making stuff for my kids my nieces and my nephews. So, hopefully in the next few days after we figure this whole blogging thing out we can start posting ideas and pics and recipes for you all to fall in love with.

Sisters on Blogspot

I'm Andrea and I live in Madison, WI, my sister Rachelle lives in Sierra Vista, AZ. So we're opposites on many levels. I'm a brunette she's a blonde (most of the time). We're both extroverts -- however she's definitely a little louder and crazier :) Right, Shell? I'm not sure which one of us will be posting most on here -- either way it'll be a gift to the world every time!

We've started "borrowing" ideas from many of the craft bloggers out there and we'll post pics and links as soon as we figure out how all of this works.

Come back soon and often :)

Andrea
